Warning There will be major spoilers in this review.
I’ve been enjoying the new Flash television series on the CW, and last night’s episode was the best one yet. We finally got a full on fight between the Flash and the Reverse Flash, and it was awesome. The episode starts pick up when a suited man kills two guards at Stars Labs rival Mercury Labs. It turn out that it’s the Reverse Flash after a Tachyon prototype that Mercury Labs has been working on. For those of you who have never heard of this particle it’s a real theoretical particle that can travel faster than the speed of light. I love it when shows through in real science into their stories, and to me it just makes for a more believable and enjoyable experience. On top of getting a full on battle between the Flash and the Reverse Flash, we also started to learn of Dr. Wells true intentions. Spoilers, he wants the Tachyon research for his own purposes, because he’s obviously the Reverse Flash. Although last nights episode focused heavily on the Reverse Flash that was not all this episode offered fans. We also learned that Ronnie Raymond is still alive, but not really himself. It’s unclear if he lost his memory in the accident or if he just wants to forget his past life. Needless to say he is know Firestorm, and tells Caitlin and Cisco not to look for him shortly before he flies away. Overall the seventh episode of the Flash was awesome, and opens the door wide open for more characters and a much larger DC Universe. I can’t wait to see what’s coming next, but what I really want to see is more crossover spinoffs of different characters in the DC Universe. That being said the next spinoff I want the CW to do is Green Lantern.
